US Army Optimization Strategies for Successful Program Transition: 08/02/2021-Present; ASA staff provide acquisition, engineering, and requirements expertise to US Army Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center. We assess technologies and requirements to identify the most efficient Adaptive Acquisition pathway(s) for transition and fielding. ASA conducted in-person and virtual seminars and workshops for Army DEVCOM staff on Middle-Tier Acquisition (MTA) (i.e., Rapid Fielding/Rapid Prototyping) strategies. ASA developed a tailored assessment methodology (Agile Integrated Methodology to Optimize System Transition) and applied it to three DEVCOM projects. Success is bridging/avoiding the valley of death.
OUSD (Research and Engineering) Technical Support Prototyping and Experimentation (P&E): 01/01/2021-Present, ASA supports P&E’s mission is to identify, develop, and demonstrate forward looking concepts encompassing multi-domain technologies. We developed and applied the Planning, Financial, Analysis, Tracking Tool (PFATT) to support financial analysis.
704 Test Group, Aerospace Survivability and Safety Office, Research, Development, Acquisition, Test, and Evaluation: 1/1/2021 – Present; Our team conducts survivability analysis supported by high fidelity modeling.
OUSD(R&E) Modeling & Simulation Enterprise (MSE) Mission Support. 11/13/2014-2/23/2022; We provided systems engineering and M&S technical leadership across the DoD. ASA led MSE efforts to implement coherent interoperability approaches at the Joint level. We co-developed a Simulation Interoperability Readiness Level framework to reduce operational risk by enabling rapid mission rehearsal.
PEO Defense Healthcare Management System: 1/04/2016-9/26/2022. ASA staff analyzed and identified schedule risks; tracked and evaluated incident reports to support successful test and evaluation, getting this critical capability delivered on-time. We also provided quality assurance and deployment training to ensure this system meets DoD healthcare customer needs.
